Our mission is to create a safe and welcoming environment for Summit County locals who have experience with mental health and/or substance use difficulties, while establishing a sober community with a focus on creating music together and fostering positive mental health.

We hope you can join us for a walk-through for our first Amplified Meeting on January 9th!  We welcome anyone that is interested in helping us put on these events and see how we plan on coordinating things.  Or, just come check things out!  There will be many ways to help at future events, including:

  1. Welcome and sign people in
  2. Assist Building Hope with distributing resources
  3. Coordinate musicians who signed up to play
  4. Help with music equipment management
  5. Help coordinate musicians for jams and songs (like hosting an open mic)
  6. Assist with soundboard and tech
  7. PLAY!
  8. Just show up and support your community and meet fellow musicians and like-minded people!

RSVP below, or send an email to drew@rocktorecover.org for more information!

Basic plan for the musical part of the session:
1) Identify how long it takes to unload and set up
2) Play music, explore options with setup, volume, etc.
3) Get multiple people comfortable with the mixer and running sound
4) Identify any musicians interested in assisting with hosting duties and have them practice / try out if needed
5) Practice with host, musical host, and others in leadership roles
6) Identify how long it takes to tear down and reload
7) Train any volunteers helping who are not musicians
8) Any other necessities not identified currently
