Less water means a concentration of contaminants. Now more than ever, river habitat needs our help to ensure pollutants stay out of the water. Your participation as a volunteer or contribution as a sponsor proves you are an advocate for healthy waterways and riparian habitat. Remove garbage from the waterway to restore a healthy riparian ecosystem, enjoy time outdoors, make friends, and win amazing prizes! Prizes include local gift cards and swag.
+ Team leaders are those who are willing to take the extra step, pick up supplies prior to the cleanup, and support the team.

BRWG accomplishes its mission through collaborative restoration projects, river cleanup festivals, volunteer opportunities, as well as educational presentations and events. We have completed several important restoration projects including the Tenmile Creek stream restoration project, Snake River and Peru Creek historical mining restoration work, and the first half of the Swan River Restoration. Read more about our completed projects here. In addition to our work on the ground, we also develop watershed planning resources including the Snake River Watershed Plan, the Swan River Restoration Design Plan, and the Integrated Watershed Management Plan in partnership with Trout Unlimited. The Integrated Watershed Management Plan is currently serving to guide our work and help our partnering organizations coordinate efforts to help restore the Blue River. Our current projects include the second half of the Swan River Restoration Project. This collaborative, multi-phase project is located in the upper Swan River drainage near the Town of Breckenridge and is designed to address damage caused to the Swan River as a result of historical dredge mining. Part of this project will include improving an existing fish barrier to help support a population of native Cutthroat Trout. Read more about the Swan River Restoration and the Swan River Fish Barrier. We are also spearheading the Summit County Outdoor Coalition. This partnership is part of the Regional Partnership Initiatives with Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) and Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO). Together with local organizations and alongside other coalitions, we have formed the Summit County Outdoor Coalition to join a statewide initiative working to ensure that Colorado’s land, water, and wildlife thrive while also providing for equitable and quality outdoor recreation experiences. The goal of the coalition is to

About the Frisco Bay Marina Located on the shores of Dillon Reservoir at the eastern end of Main Street, the Frisco Bay Marina is where lake life meets quintessential mountain town. At just over nine thousand feet in elevation, this certified clean marina is your access point for these pristine alpine waters, a world-class sailing destination where regattas are frequently held. Summers in Frisco typically involve blue skies and temps in the 70s or 80s with low humidity. Maybe there’ll be a brief and refreshing mid-afternoon “sunshower”. In other words, summertime is usually just about as perfect as it gets. THINGS TO DO AT THE FRISCO BAY MARINA Whatever water sports you’re into, odds are we’ve got the equipment and gear to make it happen. The Frisco Bay Marina rents pontoon and fishing boats, kayaks, canoes, stand-up paddle boards, fishing poles and so much more! There’s also a sandy beach, waterside dining, and Marina Park, which has a playground ideal for a family picnic break while the kids blow off some steam. KNOW BEFORE YOU GO We’re all about adopting a spontaneous sense of adventure here in Frisco. However, if you’re planning on renting a boat or watercraft of any kind, don’t show up without a reservation, or you’ll probably be out of luck. Also, although we do have a sandy beach here, there’s no lifeguard on duty. And frankly, the best way to enjoy Dillon Reservoir is on top of it. Due to local regulations swimming and water skiing are not permitted on Dillon Reservoir – bummer, we know. The water in this high alpine reservoir is simply too cold for swimming; after all, it was literally snow right before it arrived here. The Frisco Bay Marina offices also carry snacks and refreshments so you won’t go hungry while on the water. REMINDER- PAID SUMMER PARKING AT THE FRISCO BAY MARINA Paid parking at all Marina parking lots will go from Friday, May 26, 2023 through Monday, September 4, 2023 from 10:00am to 5:00pm each day.
